Why choose us !

About us

Freestyle Urban Soccer CIC is a community-based organisation that uses Street Soccer & Urban Sports as a means for development. We at Freestyle specialise in football as a vehicle for social and sporting inclusion in Chorley and the North West.

We are a Nonprofit organisation established in 2010 with the aims to provide young people from socially and economically deprived areas opportunities to fulfil their full potential in life by engaging & developing their football skills in a sporting and recreational context aimed at young people from 2 years to open age - boys and girls, men and women.

In doing so, Freestyle has successfully worked with and for young people from all backgrounds and abilities in the sport at all levels.

The breadth of our services include in school and after school coaching; weekend street soccer sessions; evening community coaching programmes; voluntary based opportunities; Mentoring and Peer Role Models.

Freestyle's philosophy is one that emphasises supporting the ‘whole person’. Consequently the physical, psychological, emotional and pastoral elements of working with individuals and groups are centred on and are not marginalised to the detriment of purely playing sport.

Sport, in particular, football is so important to many, and this aspect is never lost. However, Freestyle maintains a philosophy that supports the development of all its participants’ wider needs.

Freestyle's coaching staff are all nationally qualified and DBS vetted. Furthermore, all our staff are provided with child protection and 1st Aid training as Freestyle has robust child protection procedures and policies in place.
